The Georgia Tech cross country team will travel to Bishop, Ga. to open the 2014 season at the UGA Invite on Saturday at the UGA Equestrian Complex. The men's 8K competition begins at 8 a.m. and the women 5K race starts at 8:45 a.m.

Head coach Alan Drosky announced the 2014 Georgia Tech cross country schedule on Wednesday that features seven meets. The Yellow Jackets kick off the season at the UGA Invitational on Sept. 6.

Fourteen of Georgia Tech's 17 varsity sports improved or equaled their Academic Progress Report (APR) scores from the previous year, including three Yellow Jacket teams that posted perfect scores, in data released Wednesday by the NCAA.
